The greatest compliment we can receive at Advoco is for our clients refer to us as their "Trusted Advisor." We work hard to earn that title, and as you may guess, it does not come easy.
Think about this: What is your greatest compliment? What would you say is the title you would like to earn? And how do you go about "earning" that compliment or title?
As you approach projects within your company, you should ask questions to get people thinking and seeking you for help.
Questions such as:
What would you need to make it work?
What is the biggest challenge you will face?
What about this is important to you?
How can I help to make this better?
How can we solve this problem together?
What are we trying to accomplish here?
Having discussions around questions like these show that you care and you are there to help. When you invest in these types of conversations, you are on your way to earning the title of "Trusted Advisor" with colleagues and clients.
